Police declares 26-yr-old man wanted over robbery, kidnap

The Imo State Police Command has declared a 26 year old man, Uju Promise Ekene Amadi wanted for allegedly being involved in series of armed robbery attacks and kidnapping.

In a release from the State Command, signed by the Police Public Relations Officers (PPRO), DSP Andrew Enwerem, the police allege that Amadi was also involved in the attack on Policemen at Nipping Point Nkaraha Junction along Port-Harcourt road Umuagwo where one Inspector Oliver Nwaba was shot.

According to the PPRO, “On 22nd May, 2017, he was arrested by operatives of the command during which, a four count charge was preferred against him and he was subsequently remanded in Owerri Prison on awaiting trial”.

The Command revealed that the suspect who was later released by the court, has gone back to terrorizing Nkaraha Junction and Ohaji in particular.

Continuing, the release called on the public to volunteer useful information on the whereabouts of the suspect and to report same to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Command or any nearest police station.


Uju Promise Ekene Amadi who is said to be average in height and speaks Igbo and English Lanuguaes fluently. He is an indigene of Umuna Umuagwo Mgbisi, Ohaji L.G.A Imo State.
