Owerri Zone YPP Forum celebrates party’s registration …Lauds State Chairman, Zonal leader, Vows to penetrate grassroots

Members of the newly registered Young Progressive Party (YPP) from Owerri geo-political zone of Imo State, have celebrated the successful registration of the party by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Speaking during a meeting of Owerri Zone YPP Forum held at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri recently, the Chairmen of the nine (9) local government areas of the zone lauded the party leadership at the state led by the State Chairman, Hon Victor Diala and Owerri Zone, led by Hon Uzo Nmezi for their hard work and dedication which they said had kept the party cohesive all through the period of formation before the eventual registration.

Convener of the forum, Comrade Augustine Amadi, who is the chairman for Ngor Okpala thanked his colleagues from the other LGAs for attending the meeting.

He expressed satisfaction with the growth of the party at the nooks and crannies of the various local government areas in the zone.

Also speaking the LGA chairman of Owerri Municipal, Dr Benneth Okechukwu was full of joy that the forum was organized, adding that it will help the people of the zone to coordinate themselves better.

In his contribution, the chairman of Owerri North, Mr Emmanuel Nwachukwu thanked the people for the meeting and urged all to do what is necessary to build the party in the zone.

The Aboh Mbaise Chairman, Mr Sixtus Agbaraji thanked God for making the party’s registration a success, even as he boasted that YPP is the party to beat in 2019.

In his own remarks, the chairman of Ikeduru LGA, Mr Isaac Ebere was full of gratitude to the convener of the meeting. While thanking God for making the registration of the former political association a huge success, he thanked the leadership of YPP at the various levels.

Mr Bede Onyeze who is the chairman of Ezinihitte Mbaise extolled the concept of the forum and congratulated the leadership of YPP in the state.

Mr Tony Obichere while contributing revealed that Owerri West is going to work to ensure the victory of YPP come 2019. He was full of encomiums for the leadership of the party at the zonal and state levels.

Woman leader for Owerri Municipal, Mrs Blessing Uzomah said she and other LG women leaders will ensure the full mobilization and support of the women, especially at the grassroots towards the victory of YPP in 2019.
