2017 Mbaise USA Convention: Group lauds Mbaise Universal Assembly

A forum of Mbaise people both at home and in the diaspora –Mbaise Universal Assembly (MUA) has been commended for showing support to the 2017 Convention of Mbaise people resident in the United States of America (USA) held recently in Boston, Massachusetts from 6th to 8th of July, 2017.
In
a press statement signed by the Secretary of Ogbako Ntorobia Mbaise, Comrade
Uche Osuagwu, the group expressed gratitude to “members of Mbaise Universal
Assembly and other organizations with root in Mbaise nation for being
supportive of the largest gathering of Mbaise people outside the shores of
Nigeria”.
According
to Comrade Osuagwu, “when the roll call of who is who in terms of personalities
and groups that were at this year’s Mbaise USA Convention will be mentioned,
Mbaise Universal Assembly will always stand out. We are pleased to hear that
Mbaise people from all spheres of life gathered in Boston to support Mbaise
nation… Notable among them is the Mbaise Universal Assembly, an organization that
is not up to six months old that sent delegates and made donation towards the realization
of the dream of making Mbaise a better place for us and posterity”.
He
extolled the leadership of Mbaise Universal Assembly led by Chief Charles
Ugwuibe, adding that the group has started well in identifying with their kit
and kin as well as other pro-development groups in Mbaise.
Osuagwu
stated that Ogbako Ntoribia Mbaise is a socio-cultural conscious organization of
all youths and the young at heart from Mbaise with the vision to sustain Mbaise’s
rich cultural heritage such as Iriji festival, Oji Ezinihitte, Eyirieyi Obohia,
among others.
The
delegation of MUA to the 2017 Mbaise USA Convention was led by Hon Tony Emeh
and included Chief Jude Akuechiama and others.
In
his reaction, the Director of Media Affairs of Mbaise Universal Assembly, Mazi
Ezenwa Adiuku told our reporter that MUA is a unique organization of Mbaise
people that has the vision of assisting in the development of Mbaise nation in
all ramifications, adding that MUA is registered in the USA and Nigeria.
He
disclosed that very soon MUA will roll out activities that will be done in synergy
with Ndieze Mbaise, religious and political leaders as well as organizations and
citizens who are ready to take Mbaise to the next level of development. He called
on all sons, daughters and in-laws` of Mbaise including their children to join
MUA and contribute to the growth of Mbaise nation.
