Mbaise Universal Assembly to organize Google ICT training for 100,000 Mbaise youths
Barring
any last minute change, about 100,000 youths from across the Mbaise nation will
soon enjoy free digital skills training from Google.
The
pan-Mbaise socio-political organization, Mbaise Universal Assembly (MUA) is organizing
the training in collaboration with Konverge Media Limited.
In
a release from Director of Media/Publicity, Ezenwa Adiuku, the initiative is
part of the Digital Skills for Africa programme launched by Google in 2016.
The
programmed is geared towards supporting the training of 1 million Africans on
digital skills in one year through select Information Communication Technology
(ICT) partners.
At
the end of the training, participants are expected to understand the
opportunities the web provides such as self-employment, selling online and
reaching more people online.
Continuing,
the release indicated that the training is for youths above 18 years in basic
and advanced digital skills needed as entrepreneurs, which include the use of
Google digital marketing tools.
According
to Adiuku, the training programme will accommodate job seekers, SMEs, students,
employees, entrepreneurs and professionals from various fields.
Mbaise
Universal Assembly as a partner, will provide venue, public address system,
multi-media projectors, and standby power. It will also mobilize and inform the
communities among other contributions to facilitate the training.
